The art of buying a diamond services, starts with the size (carat weight), the cut (proportions + finish of diamond) the clarity (internal inclusions) by 10X magnification. The color (from colorless to yellow) adding to the GIA 4Cs are my professional knowledge for buying the perfect and best diamond for the clients’ maximum budget.
After the carat weight and shape is determined, the depth & table percentage must be perfect for the fire (or maximum brilliance) if not a round brilliant shape, all other shapes and ratio (length to width) must be perfect and this takes us to selling you my diamond.
After stabilizing size (carat of stone) and shape of stone the clarity (amount of internal inclusions) my job is to represent to my client the best clarity for his money from flawless to SI2 (Slightly Included). Most of my client’s clarity choice is from VVS2-SI1.
There are many types of imperfections a diamond can have and many I don’t sell. Internal graining, makes the diamond look or appear cloudy or milky. Never knots or cavities (open holes in stone) and never laser drills (black inclusion or laser drilled out).
I make sure your Gemological Institute of America or GIA certificate is as clean as possible. Also, I am heavily involved in estate sale buying. Known to be honest and very fair in the buying offers on diamonds and jewelry knowing how emotional clients are when selling their families personal items.
After 50 years in the diamond and jewelry business with partners/associates in Beverly Hills, New York and Florida I have all the qualifications to buy and sell better than most.
